‘Why and how do people change in life?’ by Umair Shah

Standard

The human nature has been made in such a way that the people change with time changing their habits, and this is due to the physical and mental change. As the person grows, his body changes in size and height, he becomes mature. Just as the person becomes mature his way of talking, thinking becomes different. And the reason for this is in biological books and explanations. Other than that, money changes a person’s life in so many ways such as the person becomes greedy for more money or he becomes charitable and spread part of his wealth among the poor and needy. Most importantly, marriage has a great effect. The person being married becomes more responsible and much wiser. He then understands the need to stand on his own feet. All the above aspects bring a great change in our hearts and lives describing the motions of human nature.

‘Keeping Fit’ by Umair Shah

Standard

In order to avoid a short life and a quick death a person needs to keep fit in all possible aspects such as physical fitness, mental fitness and spiritual fitness. In order to improve the physical fitness, the person needs regular exercise and a balanced diet, and this will not only help to maintain fitness but also has a psychological and mental effect. To relax the mind and soul, the person can either read or write or watch the television, etc; furthermore, a holiday from regular work can also be effective. Then, regular practice of prayers and a human’s touch or presence can keep you fit spiritually, for example, cracking a joke among friends can lead to laughter which suggested by the doctors is good for health. Thus, to be safe from regular old age checkups and to live a longer life, the person needs to stay fit.

‘Why People Are Boring’ by Zoha Sarim

Standard

People simply do not know how to be entertaining. They will blather on about their issues and problems, paying no attention whatsoever to the person they are talking to see if they are interested. The other party most probably will simply not care, and will detest listening to the person whine and complain about their problems, and eventually detest the person themselves. However, at other times, people do not know what to do or say at all and sit in awkward silence, trying their level best to progress from strained small talk. Sometimes, people do not have the same interests, and make attempts in vain to get the other person to like the same things –for example music, books, TV serials, art etc.- as them. However, in this day and age, people are mostly boring as they do not even attempt to communicate with each other, and instead instantly switch on their TV sets, computers or phones/tablets, cutting themselves off their device and make conversation, everyone else is preoccupied on their respective screens. Our society is plagued with isolating distractions that pull us farther away from each other and deteriorate our abilities to actually interact and socialize; an action that is truly disgusting. As a result, many do not know how to interact, and are thus, terribly boring.

‘A Frightful Imagination’ by Maryam Iraj

Standard

Have you ever noticed that sometimes your imagination’s absurdity is directly proportional to what you perceive in your dreams? The weirder your imagination gets, the weirder your dreams are. You may wonder why your imagination is the way it is; it depends on the books you read, what you watch on television and also probably the fact that your unfathomable thinking skills are a part of you. This can prove to be extremely helpful should you plan on becoming a writer or filmmaker as well as in school— while writing an essay. If your creativity is perverse, there is nothing to fret about, since it can set you apart from your peers.

‘A Love for Reading’ by Maryam Iraj

Standard

If you are amongst those who have a zest for reading, then congratulations! Sadly, if you do not, then that is extremely unfortunate. Ignorance may be bliss but reading novels other than those included in your syllabi can prove to be helpful in the long run. It improves your vocabulary and writing style which is vital for English Language and S.A.T’s. A mention of novels in a conversation can be great icebreakers. You can join book clubs and discover people who have the same taste of books as you. You can even just randomly stroll into a bookstore and choose books that you find entertaining. However, it is a need for today’s world to have adequate knowledge of literary information.

‘Patience’ by Maryam Iraj

Standard

Patience is a virtue as compared to its polar opposite the vice—impatience. Patience is self-control, that is, when you stop yourself from eating the leftover cake that has conveniently been left in the fridge by your surprisingly considerate family. Patience is when you try not to lose your temper when a younger sibling callously rips your favorite novel. You may be a lucky person if you are naturally patient person but beware; people may attempt to drive you off the end of your threshold. If unfortunately, patience is not one of your strong suits, then it would be preferable if you inculcate this helpful attribute into your everyday life.

‘Why boys are Stupid’ by Maryam Iraj

Standard

We all know that it has always, perpetually been the battle of the sexes as long as anybody can remember: men and women, grappling the hold of dominance. To call the male sex mentally deficient may reveal a bigoted sexist but candidly speaking, they are simply just frivolous and superficial unlike their female counterparts who usually delve into the deeper meaning of something. Men are simple creatures; while women on the other hand, are complex beings. Like in most juxtapositions, whatever aspects men lack in are possessed by women; for example, the feminine ability to scrutinize and infer almost anything just by a glance whereas men only search for the tip of the iceberg. Of course, by mere observation and research, the two sexes are built contrastingly from each other as in physically, mentally and emotionally. Women psychoanalyse all infinitesimalities in the universe, yet men barely seem to question such insignificant ideas let alone know they even exist! When it comes to emotions, women have a wide and vast spectrum of feelings while it is quite limited for men. At the end of the day, it is the case of perception for both genders. And perception is obviously the reason why we say,’ boys are stupid’ ,however; it  should be noted that they would rather pursue things that are not complicated  but rather pleasurable activities but that does not make them hedonists. To reinforce my point about overanalytic women, they are gossipmongers who form conspiracy theories and their various outcomes. Men would prefer to forget the matter and carry on, or maybe with their attention spans equal to goldfish, they might not even be aware about the topic of discussion. Then, we also have the male chauvinists, that is, the conceited and self-proclaimed superiors who would like to believe they have an advantage over women which is being physically tough because apparently according to them, being all-brawn will surely get them through life. So there, their stupidity is an underlying problem to their chauvinism, but as they say, ‘Boys will be boys.’ To conclude ,I would like to say that men are irrevocably ‘’stupid” but they should be given the benefit of the doubt as that is how they have been biologically engineered and unfortunately; women shall have to put up with their nonchalance and foolishness

‘Why Boys Are Stupid’ by Manal Makhdum

Standard

Stupidity is an inborn manufacturing fault boys suffer from. To further worsen this annoying trait, they do not realize the idiocy they display from bizarre handshakes involving chests banging and palms layered in spit, binding a so-called brotherhood pact to exhibiting compassion by aggressively barking insults, drawing in their mothers or sisters in the process, I fail to comprehend  the difference between boys and dogs. Neither can they cease their inappropriate jokes, nor display sensitivity. Bottling up emotions and expecting people to actually consider them as humans and not impassive robots is a very high favor to ask. If there was a term for the male gender, it would be ‘Egoistic Beasts’. Their desperation seems apparent, for example when a friend of an opposite gender walks by, they would rather have a cool facade on than make conversation while the craving makes itself obvious. Or just as an error on their part is evident to them, their egoistical hormones spring up and they deny their fault. Allow me to use facts to support my claims. Research has uncovered women mature before men. Girls are created to spread sanity and balance; I believe we are a cure for insolent, ignorant pests called boys.

‘Why are people boring?’ by Qasim Salman

Standard

Very often we dub people with the title of ‘being boring’, but, in reality what really is ‘being boring’.Well, the literal definition is that a person is boring when he/she is uninteresting to us. From this the biggest question arises, which is why people are boring? Nowadays, no has any time to enjoy and have fun; causing them to be dull and thus boring. Secondly ,people are stressed so much that they forget to relish their lives causing them to become as bland as cardboard, and thus interesting to us. Furthermore, most people have a fixed routine, whether it’s going to school or doing a job, which makes their lives monotonous, like a machine and thus become uninteresting and their lives lack fun. Moreover, some people do not know what fun is or find things which you find boring, fun. Then, there are some people who act boring towards you because, they just do not like you, and want you to be repelled away by their boring personality. In conclusion people are boring because of their own self. As they cannot or do not want to have fun. Saul Bellow  says, “Boredom is the conviction you cannot change.”

‘Why people are boring?’ by Esha Rehan

Standard
Like a jar full of different coloured beads , the world is brimmed with various people. Each human
is  different from another in a unique way; all with different personalities. Some people are said to not fit in the mould and are considered ‘boring’. But it is ,mostly ,not the people who are boring but the certain conditions or environment that tends to make them act ,or appear, introvert or socially awkward. It’s intriguing how the perspective of an individual can modulate  their  reaction to a certain environment. Some do not acknowledge their surroundings are refereed to be victims of excruciating bordem. They tend to stay inside their little bubble and are afraid speak publicly. They are not driven to investigate the satisfaction of life. It may also be the fear of judgment that keeps them frozen in time;and they remain trapped in the marrow of their bones. Some may feel troublesome to their surroundings and put on a cover, the cover is only an illusion to distract people from what is really there. On the other hand sone people are just simply boring. They do not understand that ‘ life is to be enjoyed not just endured’. These people do not have any hobbies and are not well informed. They prefer dreaming over living their dreams. Their music of boredom is the only sound that lulls them into the madness that confines them.
